Brian Viliunas, Clarinetist & Conductor
But soon enough, I was bitten, in the words of my teacher, by the "conducting bug"
As a clarinetist, I was right in the center of the orchestra! I was literally surrounded by sound, and blown away by the experience.
Brian is a passionate teacher, giving masterclasses and private lessons in the Birmingham area and beyond.
Viliunas...rendered the subtle syncopations and slow swing of the (Bolcom) concerto....with control and bright-toned lyricism
And now I can't imagine a better life!
I live in the best of every world, playing the clarinet, directing the orchestral activities at Samford, and teaching amazing students.
